The

$5,000 investment in the downtown shopping area on January 2,
1950, and over the next 58 years it has grown into a major,
multi-million dollar business. |

the son of Sophie W. Bennett, graduated as valedictorian from
Bainbridge High School in 1953, and attended Bradley University
in Peoria, Illinois from which he graduated as valedictorian
with a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing in 1957. Don
Bennett then completed a two year advanced postgraduate course
in watch repairing, jewelry repairing, and custom-order jewelry

the country. Don Bennett was awarded the title of Certified
Master Watchmaker by the American Watchmakers institute
in August 1958. |

For 30
years, Don Bennett traveled 46 of the 50 states as a sales representative
for three of the world's largest diamond and jewelry manufacturers
located in New York City. it was during these years of 1963-1993
that Don Bennett not only sold to multi-million dollar retailers,
but also acquired an extensive knowledge of the intricacies
of the diamond industry. it was during this time that Don Bennett
received the "Salesman of the Year" award in 1978,
1979, 1980, and 1981 from A. Jaffe, the "Salesman of the
Year" award from the Jewelers of Louisiana in 1982 and

the Gemological institute of America's (GIA) Diamond Grading
and Appraisal Course and was awarded the GIA Diamond Grading
and Appraisal Certificate on August 18, 1981. While in the employ
of A. Jaffe, a supplier member of the American Gem Society,
Don Bennett was awarded the AGS Registered Supplier's Title
on December 3, 1982, a title that he held during his employ
by A. Jaffe and Jabel, Inc. (both members of the American Gem
Society). He maintained the title of Registered Supplier, American
Gem Society, from December of 1982 until January of 1994, a
period of 12 years, until he retired from selling to multi-million
dollar retailers on the road. Bennett's Certified Jewelry Appraisals
are very detailed, furnishing complete information as to metallic
weight and content, number, shape, and type of stones, each
with a complete description of their individual size, weight,
cut, color, and clarity, and with a very competitive replacement
market value. Because these jewelry appraisals are so detailed,
they are readily accepted, without question, by all of the major

of ethics.

and carat weight. We have over 100 years of combined experience
in the diamond business to make sure that you get the best possible
