IDEAL CUT DIAMONDS

"Ideal-Cut" Diamonds reflect the maximum amount of light. This is true if the "Ideal Cut" Diamond is a Round Brilliant Cut Shape or if it is a Fancy Shape Diamond. Contrary to what some Internet Diamond Sellers are saying, Round Diamonds are NOT the only shape that may be graded as "Ideal Cuts". If any of the Fancy Shape Diamonds qualify on the Basis of Length-to-Width percentage (and other factors), they, too, could be Cut Graded as "Ideal Cuts".
